The crowd left towards the house of Hazrat Ali (a.s.). The harbored the intention of burning down the house along with the inhabitants.[1] Ibn Abi Ka’ab reports that we heard the neighing of horses, the clatter of bridles and the clanging of spears. We left our houses. The crowd had already gathered at the house of Hazrat Ali (a.s.).[2] Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.) was standing behind the door. There was a bandage on her head. It was obvious that she had been weakened by the relentless grief for her father[3] – the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.). When she saw the approaching crowd, she shut the door to her house. She was confident that these people would not enter the house without her permission.[4]
The people reached the door and knocked on it with great force.[5] They began pushing and pulling at the door violently. They kept on hurling abuses at the inhabitants of the house[6] and insisting that they do the bay’at of Abu Bakr.[7] Umar shouted, “O son of Abu Talib, open the door![8] I swear by Allah that if you do not open the door, I will burn it down.[9] I swear by the One in whose Hands is my life, come out and do bay’at or else I will set this house on fire. O Ali, come out and accept the verdict of the people, or else we will wage war with you.[10]
O son of Abu Talib! If you do not come out and pay allegiance to Abu Bakr like the others, I will burn the house down along with its residents.[11]
O son of Abu Talib! Open the door or else we will set your house on fire.[12] Step out to do bay’at – pay allegiance to the caliph of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) or we shall set fire to your house.[13] O Ali, come out or we shall set this house ablaze.[14]
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.) positioned herself behind the door of the house and reproached him saying, “O deviated people and liars, what are you saying! What is your intention!”
Umar replied, “O Fatemah!”
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.): “O Umar, what do you want?”
Umar: “What has happened to the son of your uncle? Why has he sent you and remained hidden behind the curtain?”
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.): “O accursed person! I have come out on account of your excesses. I wish to complete my proof upon you and on every deviated person.”
Umar: “Leave all this aside. Do not narrate the stories of women and ask Ali to come out.”
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.): “Don’t you have any shame? Do you wish to frighten me with a group from Shaitaan? O Umar, know that the party of Shaitaan is weak!”
Umar: “If Ali does not appear, know that I have collected a huge pile of wood and will burn the house along with its inhabitants if he does not do bay’at.”[15]
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.): “O Umar, why don’t you go and let us remain in our own condition?”
Umar: “Open the door or else, I will burn it down!”[16]
As per another narration, Umar said, “O Fatemah, daughter of the Prophet (s.a.w.)! Send the people gathered in your house outside. Like the other Muslims, they too must submit (give bay’at). Or else, I will set the entire house ablaze.”[17]
As per another narration, Umar said, “You too should accept what has been accepted by the community.”[18] In yet another narration, Umar said, “O Fatemah! Why have these people gathered in your house? If they do not given themselves up, I will burn the house down along with its inhabitants.”[19]
A fourth narration reports that Umar said to Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.), “Take out the people hidden in your house, or else, I will burn the house down along with its dwellers.”
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.): “Will you burn my children along with my house?”
Umar: “Yes! I swear by Allah, (I will do it) if they do not come out and give bay’at.”[20]
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.): “O Ibne Khattab! Will you bear the sight of my burning house?”
Umar: “Yes!”[21]
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.): “Woe be upon you! Do you wish to do away with the progeny of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.)? Do you wish to extinguish the light of Allah? But know that Allah (s.w.t.) will complete His light.”
Umar: “Enough has been said, O Fatemah! Keep quiet! Mohammed (s.a.w.) is no longer with us and neither are those angels who bring the revelation and the orders from Allah (s.w.t.). Now there are just us Muslims. If you wish, send out your family members to pay allegiance to Abu Bakr or else, I will burn your house down.”
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.) (while crying): “O Allah! We put forward a complaint to you about the absence of Your Prophet (s.a.w.), Your Messenger and Chosen One! We appeal to You that the ummat gathered in opposition to us. O Lord! Those rights which You revealed in Your book, and through Your Prophet (s.a.w.) ordained for us, the ummat is snatching away those very rights.”
Umar: “O Fatemah! Leave aside the behavior of women and do not say such useless things! Allah (s.w.t.) will never grant both messengership (nabuwwat) and leadership (khilafat) in the same house.”[22]
Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.): “O Umar! Don’t you have the fear of Allah in your heart that you wish to enter my house and assault me.”
Umar stood his ground and refused to budge from there.[23]

Let me put some facts.
1. Ali RA married to widow of Abu Bakr and raised her son who was born after the death of Abu Bakr. Ali RA also made that child (Mohammed) the governor when he grew older during his Khalifate.
2. He named one of his son Uthman/Usman.
3. Ali gave his daughter Umm Kulsoom to Omar RA as his wife.
There was no quarrel of any sort between those two but pathetic people of later days and Munafiqs of that time made up stories.
This is true Fatima RA was upset about a garden but the ruling was based on Sunnah and Hadith of prophet SAW that "Messengers don't leave Wordly things, what they leave behind is the knowledge" (close meaning only).
All quotes are from history books which we know how much twisting has been done. Even quotes from Hadith books are twisted or half shown changing all the truth for a normal reader.
Forget about these differences and come to Akalima Wahid and authentic hadith and sunnah only.
We as ummah of Nabi SAW are "Ahl-e-Bayt". A Nabi is the father of his Ummah not just the father of own family.

Let me explain what you tried to prove :
1. You said , Ali ( as) had married the widow of Abu Bakr and raised his son so this act of Ali (as) proves that Abu Bakr had good terms with Ali (AS).
Our Reply : How can u say that marrying the widow of someone proved that the deceased husband was righteous and had good term with the new husband of the women. Dont you know that some the wives of Prophet (sawa) were from the family of those people who were the bitterest enemies of Islam ?? What Prophet SAWA did was purely on humanitarian ground and it has nothing to do with the family of those women. Same is applicable to Ali (as). Ali(AS) married the woman to support her and her orphans.
Secondly the relations were good or not, for that go and refer ur Sahih Bukhari and Muslim, it is clearly mentioned in these books that Ali(as) and his wife Janabe Fatima (sa) were angry on Abu Bakr and Umar due to usurpation of Fadak by Abu Bakr. Dont blame shias for creating stories. All these are proven facts found in both Shias and Sunni books. If u dont want to accept its ur problem.

If the Hadith quoted by Abu Bakr on inheritance was really said by the Prophet(SAWA) , Why did he not say this tradition to his beloved daughter???

If it is so then it is better for u to leave the traditions narrated by Abu Huraira and Co., and take the religion from the Gate of Knowledge, i.e. ALI (AS).
We have not left the sunnah. Instead we have taken the real Sunnah from Prophet(SAWA) and his pure progeny(Ahl-e-Bayt).

There is a tradition in Sahih Muslim: Book 031, Hadith Number 5920. I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of Allah in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of Allah and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family. He (Husain) said to Zaid: Who are the members of his household? Aren't his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. And he said: Who are they? Thereupon he said: 'Ali and the offspring of 'Ali, 'Aqil and the offspring of 'Aqil and the offspring of Ja'far and the offspring of 'Abbas. Husain said: These are those for whom the acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. Zaid said: Yes.
Go and read the commentary of "Ahl-e-Bayt" of the ayat 33:33 of the Quran. All Sunni commentators have said that "Ahl-e-Bayt" refers to ALI,Fatima , Hasan and Hussain in the Ayat.
Yes Nabi is the father of his Ummah, but spiritual not the biological.
Charity is forbidden on the "Ahl-e-Bayt" of Prophet(SAWA) and is not forbidden on the whole UMMAH.
That's the difference between Ummah and "Ahl-e-Bayt".

Umm Kulthum bint Ali was the daughter of Ali and his wife Fatima al-Zahra, thus she was the sister of Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn MARRIED TO UMAR-IBN-KHATTAB
A narration attributed to Anas ibn Iyad al-Laythi from Ja'far al-Sadiq from his father Muhammad al-Baqir reports:
“ Umar ibn al-Khattab asked Ali ibn Abi Talib for the hand of Umm Kulthoom in marriage. Ali said, I had kept my daughters for the sons of Jafar. Umar said, Marry her to me, O Abul Hasan, for by Allah, there is no man on the face of the earth who seeks to achieve through her good companionship that which I seek to achieve. Ali said, I have done so.
Then Umar came to the Muhajirun between the grave (of Rasool-Allah) and the pulpit. They — Ali, Uthman, Zubayr, Talhah and Abd ar-Rahman — used to sit there, and whenever a matter used to arrive from the frontiers, Umar used to come to them there and consult with them. He came to them and said, Congratulate me. They congratulated him, and asked, With whom are we congratulating you, O Amir al-Mu’minin? He replied, With the daughter of Ali ibn Abi Talib.[9]
The Isnad of this narration is also considered Sahih among the Shia
'Umar bin Al-Khattab distributed some garments amongst the women of Medina. One good garment remained, and one of those present with him said, "O chief of the believers! Give this garment to your wife, the (grand) daughter of Allah's Apostle." They meant Umm Kulthoom, the daughter of 'Ali.' 'Umar said, Um Salit has more right (to have it)." Um Salit was amongst those Ansari women who had given the pledge of allegiance to Allah's Apostle.' 'Umar said, "She (i.e. Um Salit) used to carry the water skins for us on the day of Uhud."

The shi'a scholar Abul Qasim al-Kufi (died 352 AH) also believed that it was Umm Kulthum bint Ali who married Umar
Shaykh Tabarsi, a 12th century Shi'a Islamic scholar also believed that Umm Kulthum bint Ali married Umar

By proving the marriage of Umme Kulthum to Umar, you are criticizing Umar and not praising him.
Tell me do you accept a sensible man of 50 + ask the hand of a girl of 10- 12 years of age in marriage who is DAUGHTER OF THE DAUGHTER OF THE MAN WHOM HE HAD GIVEN HIS DAUGHTER IN MARRIAGE. Hafsa was the daughter of Umar who was married to grandfather of Umme Kulthum( i,e Holy Prophet(SAWA) )

NO Shia scholars hold this belief that Umme Kulthum was married to Umar. The detailed reply to the Hadith quoted by you is given in many of our posts on this website. And also we have loaded many books proving conclusively that UMME KULTHUM BINTE ALI WAS NOT MARRIED TO UMAR.
You named some shia scholars who believed such marriage took place. Can you prove from their books OR you have just heard their names and used them without any research on this matter???

So after reading and visiting these links Mr. Anonymous you will come to know that we shias dont talk in air and we have solid reasons for what we are believing.
Ali(AS) would never marry his daughter to a man who was responsible for the murder for his wife (i.e. Fatima) because that would hurt his daughter the most.
And it is accepted fact found in innumerable Shia Sunni books that Umar was responsible for the murder of the beloved daughter of Holy Prophet(SAWA).

Hazrat Ali(AS) fully knew what was going to happen after the Prophet(SAWA). He also knew that Arabs would not accept him due to their hatred for him because Ali(AS) had killed many of their polytheist relatives in the battlefield.
Ali(AS) remained silent and did not wage a war against people who attacked him and his wife is due to the will of the Prophet(SAWA) wherein he(SAWA) had instructed Ali(AS) to remained silent and patient to save the Muslims from civil war. He(SAWA) had willed him to fight for his right only if he gets enough supporters to fight.
Unfortunately after the passing away of the Prophet(SAWA), Abu Bakr was selected Caliph in the Saqifa Bani Saida in the most abrupt manner.
Lion of Allah-Ali(AS) always fought in the defense of Islam and his remaining quite and not fighting for his rights was also in the interest of Islam as it would have resulted in conflicts and confusions among the people and would have become the cause of destruction of Islam.
Same is the reason for his not taking revenge for the attack on his wife, Janabe Fatima(AS).

This is the result of the fabrication in history that became one of the tenets of faith for the Shia.
Al-Sayyed Hussain FadlAllah, the grand Shia scholar in Lebanon, had denied the incident of the assault on Fatima. Hence, lots of Shia scholars waged a war on him. They charged him with �Wahhabisim�. One of the grand Shia scholars in Iran Al-Tabrizi had issued a verdict excommunicating FadlAllah from Shiasim because FadlAllah had denied one of the major religious beliefs of the Shia.
FadlAllah�s denial had come after extensive research in the Shia�s version of the story of the assault and he depended much on logic and common sense.
The book of �The Leadership and Politics� (Al-Imamah wa Al-Siyasah) by Ibn Qutayibah is the only Sunni book that narrated such a story. Nevertheless, many Muslim scholars declared that the book is wrongfully attributed to Ibn Qutayibah. In the following link we had examined the authenticity of the book. Ibn Qutayibah did not write that book.
Therefore, it is not fair to take that book as an argument against Ahl Al-Sunnah. Even if we assumed that Ibn Qutayibah really did write that book, then we find out that the incident of the assault is written without an attribution. We do not know who really narrated that story. History books contain the good and the bad. We have to always distinguish the good from the bad through attribution.

The accusations that have been levelled against Umar (R.A) that he broke down the door of Ali (R.A.)’s house and approached Ali (R.A.) and Fatima (R.A.) in a disrespectful manner and due to this Fatima (R.A.) suffered a miscarriage is totally false and a mere fabrication. In reality those who levelled this accusation are disgracing and Ali (R.A.) and Fatima (R.A.) and also making a mockery of Islam. Was Ali (R.A.) so cowardly that he could not defend his house nor avenge his wife?! When Ali (R.A.) became Khalifah why did he not take revenge nor claim the blood money from the family of Umar (R.A) for the child that he had lost?! The ones who narrate these types of narrations are in actual fact the enemies of Islam. They portray the Sahabah (R.A.) in front of the Kuffar in such a fallacious manner that they were thirsty for governance, they had no legal system, the strong used to suppress the weak, to speak the truth was a crime, the oppressors were not punished, lies were spoken in order to please rulers, just as the hypocrites they too had hatred in their hearts for their rulers. Can your heart accept such accusations and nonsense? Could the senior Sahabah behaved in such a manner? Were such Sahabah not capable of demolishing great empires such as that of Qaisar and Kisra with scanty ammunitions and means? Will Allah Ta’ala assist such oppressors?
The claim that Fatima (R.A.) had a miscarriage is a mere fabrication. It has been mentioned in an authentic book of history, i.e. Albidayah wan Nihaayah, that during the lifetime of Rasoolullah (S.A.W.), Fatima (R.A.) gave birth to a third son by the name of Muhassin and that this child passed away in his childhood. This is why the majority of the historians mentioned only two sons of Fatima (R.A.).
After the general Bay’at took place Abubakar (R.A.) said: “I never intended to be a Khalifah nor did I demand it. If you are not pleased with this Bay’at then I will step down and you can appoint someone else as the Khalifah.” Majority of the Muhajireen, especially Ali (R.A.) refused this offer and said: “No, you (Abubakar) are more worthy of the Khilaafat than anybody else. Rasoolullah (S.A.W.) forwarded you in such an important issue such as Salaat so how can we pull you back.” When Ali (R.A.) and Zubair (R.A.) were asked why did they not take the Bay’at in the beginning? They replied that the reason was because they were consulted on the issue. It has been narrated in the Shiite book “Ihtijaaj Tabrasi” that Ali (R.A.) took Bay’at on the hands of Abubakar (R.A.) and also performed Salaat behind him. Ali (R.A.) announced during his Khilaafat that Rasoolullah (S.A.W.) did not bequest us to appoint the Khalifah and neither did he take a pledge from us. If I had a pledge then I would have never allowed Abubakar (R.A.) to climb the Mimbar of Rasoolullah (S.A.W.) but in reality Abubakar (R.A.) was worthy of Khilaafat. Rasoolullah (S.A.W.) also forwarded him, we supported him and worked with him, and after his demise we assisted Umar (R.A) and Uthmaan (R.A.)
One should ponder that if Ali (R.A.) had a pledge then he would have most definitely mentioned it during his Khilaafat when there was no fear of anybody reprimanding him or threatening him. Had Abubakar (R.A.) or Umar (R.A) oppressed him any way, he would have also mentioned it but he did not mention anything of that sort.

Hazrat Ali (AS) supported Islam and all his advices to the early Caliphs were to protect Islam. This in no way proves the legitimacy of the Khilafat of first 3 Caliphs as they were not appointed by Allah or His Prophet(SAWA). Secondly Ali (AS) was appointed Caliph by the Prophet(SAWA) at Ghadir e Khum. But when some people accepted Abu Bakr as Caliph at Saqifa and later other Muslims also followed him, Ali (AS) did not force his Khilafat on the people due to lack of supporters and also it would have resulted in Civil War among the muslims. So Ali(AS) kept quiet and simply advised these Caliphs whenever they ask him - all in the interest of Islam.
Important Point here is Ali (AS) was not given any important government post in the time of first three Caliphs. This itself proves that Ali(AS) was not at good term with these people.The reason of his keeping quiet is mentioned in a very beautiful manner by ALI (AS) himself in Sermon No. 3 of Nahjul Balagha.

Yes we all are muslims and we should unite in the name of Love of Ali (AS). And we should love one who love Ali and hate one who hate Ali and oppressed him and his progeny.
What was ALI (A.S) doing behind a door? Well where were your Khalifaas when PROPHET (P.B.U.H) died? They were in saqifa deciding who will be next Khalifa. Although they knew Imam ALI (A.S) was the chosen one from PROPHET (P.B.U.H) and ALLAH.
And if you people are so faithful to your Khalifaas why don't you celebrate their birthdays and mourn on their deaths. I'll tell you why, because nobody knows when did they die. You even created their deaths on the day of EID E GADHEER and in MOHARRAM but you people failed. Where is the grave of your 3rd Khalifa? Nobody knows.
