The people forcibly dragged Hazrat Ali (a.s.) from his house.[1] Umar was especially harsh on Hazrat Ali (a.s.)[2] and was pulling him mercilessly.[3] The rest of the people followed this procession. Hazrat Ali (a.s.), while talking about this incident says, “I was dragged by the people for bay’at just as a camel is dragged.[4] The swords of the people were drawn and their spears were shining in readiness.” His condition was such that he was in a state of extreme sadness and often was filled with fury. But with great patience he overcame his anger.[5] He was also extremely weary and tired.[6]
In another narration it is reported that he (a.s.) was made to run and brought to the mosque.[7] The people were watching this as if it were some great spectacle or show. The streets of Medina were packed with people.[8] At every place along the journey, he was told, “C’mon do bay’at.”[9] Salman, Abu Zar, Miqdad, Ammar and Boraydah were with him and they kept on telling the people – “Alas, how soon have you have done khayanat with the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and openly displayed the malice and hatred, which you had concealed in your hearts.”
Boraydah Ibne Khaseeb Al Aslami narrates, “O Umar, you are mistreating the brother of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and his successor in this manner; and have caused grievous harm to his (s.a.w.) daughter, while the Quraysh are sufficiently aware of your state.”[10]
At that time, Hazrat Ali (a.s.) was the victim of treachery and injustice. He was calling out to the people for help.[11] He said to them, “I swear by Allah, if I had my sword in my hand, then none amongst you would have had the courage to perform such deeds. If I had been supported by only 40 companions, I would have done jehad with you and scattered your ranks. May Allah curse those people who turned away and betrayed me after completing my bay’at.”[12]
He was also heard saying, “Alas O Ja’far. Sadly Ja’far is not amongst us today. Nor is Hamzah. Alas, Hamzah is not there with us today.”[13]
The people took Hazrat Ali (a.s.) near the grave of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.). He (a.s.) stood there at the grave and recited,
“O my brother, the people have weakened me and have sought to kill me.” At this, hands were seen raised from the holy grave. The people were aware that these blessed hands were none than those of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.).
Adi ibn Hatim says, “When I saw Ali (a.s.) in this condition my heart was filled with so much pity for him as it had been never been filled before for any person.”
Witnessing this scene, Salman said, “Does one behave in such a lowly manner with somebody[15] of such high stature? I swear by Allah, if these people (Ahle’ Bayt) pray to Allah, the skies would fall down on the earth.” Abu Zar said, “I wish we had been armed with our swords today.”[16]

it means all sahabah are wrong, only ALI(GOD BE PLEASED WITH HIM) WAS RIGHT. IT MEANS HAZRAT UMAR, ABUBAKAR, HAZRAT AYESHA ALL WERE WRONG.ONLY HAZRAT ALI WAS RIGHT BECAUSE HE WAS HUSBAND OF PROFIT'S DAUGHTER, IF IT IS STANDARD OF GOVERNMENT THEN WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ISLAM AND OTHER RELIGIONS????? IF HAZRAT AYESHA WAS WRONG THEN WHY YPROPHET LIVED WITH HER ? WHY DID NOT HE DIVORCED HER. YOU KNOW ONCE ALI SAID TO PROPHET TO DIVORCE HAZRAT AYESHA, BUT ALLAH DENIED AND DECLARED HAZRAT AYESHA INNOCIENT. DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IF PILLARS OF ISLAM (OF COURSE INCLUDING ALL CALIPHS , WIVES OF PROPHET AND DAUGHTERS ARE WRONG, THEN EVERYTHING IS WRONG. PLZ STOP IT. TELL ME I HAVE A QUESTION THAT WHY DID'NT ALI(R.A) FIGHT AGAINST KAAFIRS AFTER DEATH OF PROPHET, BUT HE FOUGHT ONLY WITH MUSLIMS.
ReplyDeleteDear Brother Adeel,
ReplyDeleteIt is very difficult for you to imagine the mentality of newly converted Arab of 1400 years back.
You said : "Does it mean all Sahabas were wrong"
Answer : "Allah(SWT) had tested all the Ummah of previous prophets(as). Similarly Allah had tested the Ummah of Holy Prophet(SAWA) also.
Holy Prophet(SAWA) had announced severely times during his lifetime that Ali(AS) is his wizier, brother and khalifa. And at the time of his last Haj he asked all the people to assemble and he ordered people to build a mimber and then after a long Khutba , he said : MAN KUNTO MAULA HO FA HAAZA ALI UN MAULA ". Of whomsoever I am the master this Ali is his master."
This tradition is mutawatir and is found in all shia sunni books.
After this announcment people congratulated Imam Ali(AS) for becoming Muala of Momineen. Sunnis have derived the meaning of Maula as Friend . But this meaning of maula is not in accordance with the situation in which announcement is made. Was Ali(AS) not the friend of momineen before this announcement???Why would Prophet(SAWA) make all the arrangement and build a mimber in the desert just to say that Ali is the friend of momimeen. It would very childish to say this.
Inspite of all this people turned back and selected Abu BAkr as Caliph.
It was a testing of the Ummah..
If you are wondering why this thing happened. ??
It was because of the mentality of the people. If they were to select their own leader, that leader will listen to him and will act accordingly while divinely appointed leader will not listen anybody and will strictly follow what Allah has ordered him to do. Another reason : some people had animosity against Ali(AS) because one or the other relative of all the tribes had been killed by Ali(AS) in the battlefield. There might be other reasons also for not following Ali(AS).
Even the whole Ummah of the great prophet Moosa(AS) was deviated by a man called Saamri inspite of presence of Janabe Haroon when Moosa was late in coming toward his people.
So dear brother, Allah has tested the people through the Wilayat of Ali(AS)
If Prophet(SAWA) had divorced Ayesha, It would have become a Sunnat for the Ummah to divorce their wife for one or the other reason.
How can you say that the Caliphs, wives and Some Sahabas were pillars of Islam ???
Did Prophet(SAWA) said any such thing??
Were these Caliphs(Abu Bakr,Umar,Uthman,Muawiya ,Yazid etc) selected by the Prophet(SAWA) and Allah to lead the Ummah.???
Did Allah not prohibit the wives of Prophet(SAWA) to step out of their home???Then why Ayesha disobeyed Allah???
If you want to know who are the pillar of Islam....
Read and follow this tradition of Prophet(SAWA) found in Shia Sunni books.
"
It is narrated in Sahih Muslim as well as many other sources that:
Someday (after his last pilgrimage) the Messenger of Allah (S) stood to give us a speech beside a pond which is known as Khum (Ghadir Khum) which is located between Mecca and Medina. Then he praised Allah and reminded Him, and then said: "O’ people! Behold! It seems the time approached when I shall be called away (by Allah) and I shall answer that call. Behold! I am leaving for you two precious things. First of them is the book of Allah in which there is light and guidance...The other one is my Ahlul-Bayt. I remind you in the name of Allah about my Ahlul-Bayt. I remind you in the name of Allah about my Ahlul-Bayt. I remind you in the name of Allah about my Ahlul-Bayt. (three times)."

shame on those who lie on the true sahaba of Muhammad (s.a.w),u belong to kharijis,u people betrayed Hussain(r.a) and ahle bayt, and now u people beat urselves in regret in da month of moharram..ur ancesstors killed Ummar, othoman,Ali,hassan, hussain(r.a) and the ahle bait..
ReplyDeleteSyed m.navid open your eyes and differentiate between right and wrong. We shias are not mad that we carry out majlis every year in the month of moharram. Why would we cry on the martyrs of karbala if we had killed them ourselves. The rivalry of ahlebayt was started by umar and abubakr and thousands of lanats on umar and his descendants.
