In 610 Muhammad started delivering the message of Islam. Umar, alongside others in makkah, opposed Islam and threatened to kill Muhammad. He resolved to defend the traditional, polytheistic religion of Arabia. He was most adamant and cruel in opposing Muhammad and very prominent in persecuting the Muslims.

hukoomat is never the idea of Islam.Hukoomat will always be of Allah Almighty.By accepting rule of Allah you become a Muslim.It is only after you take Muhammad as His prophet and submit to his commands that you become a momin.Prophets have come to acquaint the world with this reality so as every one becomes part of one ummah.In the absence of The Prophet there had to be someone who could teach the people about Islam.By depriving the limited no of Muslims of the divine wisdom ,great injustice has been done as a result of which we are witnessing worst violence in the world.By refuting and forgetting about the people who perpetrated this injustice only then can we realize wish of God
